Tuesday, 15 June 2010
If you were to play a Texas Hold’em tournament, then you must know how to play all-ins, so as to steal chips. You know also be aware on how to defend all-ins from other players, which is crucial as well as difficult for all participants. It is obvious that you would have only two options when an opponent calls all-in, either to call or fold. It is too late to trick or outplay this opponent. You would need a better hand to call this player and win the pot. There is a famous saying amongst all poker players, ‘an all in would win all the times but once’. As a defender, you just have to look at that once chance to outplay your all-in opponent.
